General information on the processing of personal data
The processing of personal data in the customer register is subject to the Finnish Data Protection Act and other applicable laws, regulations, ordinances and official instructions concerning the processing of personal data. ‘Personal data’ means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’). This data protection statement describes the procedures related to the collection, processing, and disclosure of personal data and the rights of the customer, i.e. the data subject.
Purpose of the collection of personal data
Maintaining a customer relationship or another comparable relationship.
The purpose of the customer register is to facilitate customer service activities and the maintenance of customer relationships.
Purpose of the processing of personal data
The personal data stored in the customer register may be used for the following main purposes:
- maintaining and developing the customer relationship;
- providing, developing, improving, and protecting services;
- invoicing, collecting debts, and verifying customer events;
- carrying out targeted marketing;
- analysing and grouping data related to the services;
- communicating with customers;
- complying with the data controller’s legal obligations and other similar obligations.
What data do we collect?
Personal data are generally processed for the duration of the customer relationship. The data are registered as the data subject chooses to provide them, and they are updated as and when the data subject provides the data controller with new information.
Other personal data are deleted when they are no longer needed. If the collection and storage of personal data is based solely on the customer’s consent, said data will be deleted at the customer’s request.
Disclosure of data
The data will not be disclosed for marketing purposes.
All processing of personal data takes place within the EU/EEA. Data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA in the manner permitted by law if being transferred to a country with an adequate level of data protection according to the European Commission, or if an adequate level of protection can be guaranteed through contractual arrangements.
Furthermore, data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA in accordance with the legislation if the recipient is located in a country where an adequate level of protection of personal data is ensured, or if the recipient is bound by an agreement that meets the EU’s requirements for the transfer of personal data outside the EU. Data may also be temporarily transferred outside the EU when using cloud services such as OneDrive, Google Analytics, iCloud, or Dropbox.
Data may be disclosed to public authorities in accordance with applicable legislation.
Principles for the protection of the register
The register is only accessible to those who have been granted access to it by the administrator of the register. The administrator determines the level of access on a case-by-case basis. Only employees of the data controller and its subcontractors have access to the data necessary for the performance of their tasks.
Rights of the data subject
Right of access and data portability
The customer, or data subject, shall have the right to access any personal data about them held in the customer register. If a data subject wishes to access their own data, they must submit a request to the controller. These requests must be submitted in writing with a handwritten signature or in a document that has been similarly verified, or by e-mail.
The data controller shall provide the data to the data subject within 30 days of the request.
The data subject has the right to transfer their personal data to third parties in a structured and commonly used, machine-readable format. The data controller shall store the transferred data in accordance with this data protection statement.

A data subject shall have the right to restrict the processing of personal data concerning them, and the right to have any such personal data already included in the register for the aforementioned purposes erased, even if the processing is otherwise justified.
Withdrawal of consent
If the data in the register is based on the customer’s consent, the customer may withdraw their consent at any time by notifying the data controller. Any data that do not need to be retained or may be retained shall be deleted upon request in accordance with legislation or other grounds mentioned in this privacy policy.
